the sun sets on google reader

If you are like me, you’ve waited until the last possible moment to say good bye to google reader. Like so many other crafty blogs you can follow my blog with Bloglovin. I hearĀ Feedly is another option that is easy on the eyes and easy to use. But my favorite reader has to beĀ the Old Google Reader. It looks like, you guessed it, the old google reader. They built it for those of us who can’t deal with change, even when change is thrust upon us. Where are you reading your blogs now that google reader is gone?

  1. I’ve been using Feedly. I really like the visual aspect.

I’m using Feedly after a brief, unhappy stint with BL. I have been intrigued by the Old Reader, though. Does it have a Next button? My only problem with Feedly is not viewing the actual page of my blogs, and having to click through to comment.

I’m using WordPress…loaded my feed a while ago, but was still using g-reader up until today…argh..dislike change…gave up on blogger…WordPress seems to be a bit more up with the times…

i’m using the old reader, too! i’m surprised more people haven’t taken to it. i love it for all the reasons you mentioned. i tried feedly and it started suggesting all sorts of new blogs for me. i felt like i was drinking from a fire hose. it was just too much! ;)

  5. i’m using feedly for now, although i’m not as keen on it as i was google reader. was thinking of going back to bloglines as i moved when that was shutting down, but then it didn’t shut after a last minute reprieve.

I’m trying Feedly but still wishing I could press a next button.

Here I am, 9 at night on the very last night, still reading through google reader. Because I don’t know how I’ll function without my “next” button!!! (ARGH! Why must they do this to me?) I’ve signed up on The Old Reader, but won’t switch over until my next button bites the dust. Sigh.

I’m using Bloglovin and I’m “LOVIN” it!! It’s easy and gives me everything I need to be able to check in with all my favorite blogs each day.
