faqs for me

hello again! I’m feeling a little sheepish after have been away for this space for more than a month (oof!). That is the longest I’ve gone without a post in the 6 years I’ve been here. These days I’m finding it difficult to know where this blog fits in: fits in my life, fits in the blogging world, fits in with you. Blair said it so nicely, I need not go on and and on about it, but I feel I need to refocus. There are posts I have been meaning to do for years (years, people!) and it’s about time those got written. And one of those things is a FAQ page, which seems like a good way to get back in the game.
So if there are any of you out there still reading elsie marley (mom, I know you are) I’m ready to answer your questions: about me, about sewing, about fabric, about food, about my home, about creativity, about this blog, about whatever. Ask away in the comments or over email. I can’t wait to hear from you–I’ve missed you all!

Hi, Meg! I don’t have a question, but I wanted to say that I’m still stopping in to see what you’re up to! I totally understand questioning where your blog is going and what works for your readers. It’s something that I’ve been doing for the last few months, too. I’ve actually started making a few updates to my blog, in hopes that I can steer it in a more “well-rounded” direction. It needs to be about sewing since that’s what brings most people there, but I want it to include more about the other things that I want to share, too. (I am really excited about your coconut butter recipe, by the way. I’m off to go see if I have enough coconut to make some!)
Hi Meg! I too love Elsie Marley. Your posts are always a breath of fresh air for some reason. I guess my Q would be about your history too. What did you study in school? Are you a born and raised mid-westerner? Things of that sort are always interesting to me. Maybe some favorite books? Good luck!

I love how you style your kids outfits. I tried to see if you show any photos of your clothes but couldn’t find a category section on the blog. I’d love to see how you style adult clothing. I am also nosy/curious about your background (what you studied in school) and really enjoy reading about your home – how you squeeze three kids into one room, your fantastic interior design sense, etc. Give us more!
