kcwc spring 2011: day six
May 14th, 2011
This is going to be a short and sweet post. Hey, like these shorts. They actually started long, but then looked weird long. So they have cuffs thanks to this fantastic little tutorial, but now I’m thinking maybe they would look better without them. I don’t know anymore. I do know I rocked some serious topstiching action on these suckers (With orange thread, somehow it looks red in the photos). Oh and these are for my daughter. I think my son could rock the purple shorts, but he asked for orange.

A little nuttiness from the pool today: elephant hats and dino hoodies! So many amazing handmade clothes on flickr! You guys rock.
I had to create a whole new yahoo acct to be part of the flicker group…posted some photos this morning. Everyone has done such a great sewing job!
well I personally love the cuffs. hehe. Really! they look fine. :) especially the orange stitching, awesome!
Oooh…I like the orange topstiching – ballsy. I just finished another pair of pants and a t-shirt. I swore this would be it, my eyes are becoming crossed, though fabric is currently covering my ironing board waiting to be morphed into something fabulous.
Shorts are great!!
I really like the cuffs…and the orange stitching.
Thanks for the challenge. I wasn’t able to sew as much as I wanted to but it definately got the ball rolling!
I just wanted to thank you for such a great initiative… I enjoyed my week of sewing and blogging about it! I will definitely do it again next time… thanks again!
Check out my week’s worth on my blog! :) Thanks for such a great challenge – this really got me sewing, not just brainstorming and then giving up for the day because I couldn’t get something finished. I will definitely be keeping this up for myself!

Oh heavens, that dinosaur suit is fantastic!
Love the purple shorts! Purple is my three year old son’s favorite color and he tells just about everyone he meets.
