stringing pompoms
July 18th, 2011
stringing pompoms and blasting the air conditioning on a disgustingly sticky hot day. I think we’ll hang them in the kids’ room when the baby wakes up. Michael’s has awesome colored pompoms by the way. I might even go back for another bag.
Posted in kid art.
Have you ever been to Naso’s “seconds” store in Fort Atkinson? Tons of random, fantastic art supplies for next to nothing. Just in case your pom-pom stringing ever gets old and you need something else.
Sounds just about perfect! It’s still not quite summer here in the northwest, I can’t figure out if I’m happy about that or not. At least we’re relaxed and lazy!
oh be happy about it! I am melting into a pool of my own sweat here. bleh.
Thank you! I just saw these pompom bags at Michaels the other day, but couldn’t think of a use for them. The blues were gorgeous, I remember. But who needs a useful use! Hanging them on strings is perfect!
Adorable (and easy)
dude! love this! definitely going to make a few of these come Christmastime to hang on the tree.
I was thinking about doing it again at christmas while we were making them.
You got me stuck on making pom poms the very first time you posted about them! I just made a whole pile of neon pink ones while watching the latest HGTV Design Star. I’ve blasted through 9 full skeins of yarn so far this summer…its been a loooooong HOT one here.
that sounds super awesome!
We made a load a couple of Christmases ago – stringing them is very soothing (just what every school holiday needs – a bit of tranquility).
Oh please show us pictures when you hang them up!
Oh, I’m so glad I saw this! I’m headed to the craft store this afternoon and this will be the perfect HOT day activity for my guys. The pompoms look so beautiful.
Love this idea, even have pom poms on hand (score!)
Also, the flock top thing had me laughing out loud. Yes, apologies, but my miserable sewing self loves company. Thanks for offering it.
Stay cool,
M
