summer journal: making hula hoops

Making hula hoops is surprisingly simple and cheap to boot: some polyurethane pipe, a connector, and duct tape. Done.
I scanned some random directions quickly when I was in the hardware store, but there are many good tutorials for making hula hoops out there. This video by Elizabeth Mitchel–who is awesome by the way–tells you how it’s done.

Love this!! And the Elizabeth Mitchell video, just watching that video is fun….I don’t think we are quite ready for hula hooping here…too little still…but we are practicing with some cheapo ones from Michaels…but someday hope to make our own too.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! My daughter is a hula hooping genius and a master crafter. This is a PERFECT project for her. What a super fun idea!
